Mubasher: Gold prices increased during the week that ended Friday 24 March, for the second consecutive week.

The price of the precious metal went up by around 1.7% to $1,243 per ounce, compared to $1,229.80 per ounce by the end of the week before.

Meanwhile, the USD index, which measures the value of the United States Dollar relative to a basket of six major currencies, remained stable at the level of 99.77 points.

It is worth noting that gold prices went up last week by 2.4% to $1,229.80 per ounce, compared to $1,200.70 per ounce by the end the previous week.
