Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE markets are suffering from low liquidity that will lead to limited investment opportunities, analysts told Mubasher.

Current thin liquidity reflects a general lack of confidence and investors’ hesitation to enter the markets, market analyst Osama Azhari explained.

Anxiety over the performance of leading firms like Arabtec Holding is one of the main factors that block liquidity, the analyst noted.

Investors are waiting for new catalysts like companies’ first-quarter financials, which will be announced early April, Azhari said.

The markets are likely to continue their sideways-to-bearish trend this week, weighed down by the decline of US stocks as the Republicans withdrew the American Health Care Act, Fady Al-Ghattis, CEO of Think Financial Studies, told Mubasher.

The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) main index is likely continue its decline to 3,400 points.
