Kuwait – Mubasher: Indices on Boursa Kuwait ended the first session of the week on a low note, with the price index slipping 0.04% or 2.95 points to 7,040.51 points, while the Kuwait-15 index and the weighted index shed 0.58% and 1.30%, respectively.

The market’s decline at Sunday’s closing came on the back of seven sectors, led by technology with 1.92% after Automated Systems plunged 8.20%.

The real estate sector declined 0.65% after several of its stocks went down, led by Sanam with 8.20%, while the financial services sector lost 0.140% after Tahssilat dropped 6.7%.

On the other hand, the banking sector grew 0.87% after Ahli United Bank (AUB) gained 6%.

Turnover reached KWD 29.44 million on Sunday, up from KWD 25.38 million on Thursday, while traded volume increased to 296.11 million shares traded from 272.27 million in the previous session.

Sokouk Holding’s stock, down 5.88%, was the most active in terms of trade volume with 25 million shares, while AUB was the value leader with KWD 3.45 million.

Earlier on Sunday, Boursa Kuwait indices opened on a mixed note, with the price index slipping 0.11% or 9.09 points to 7,035.44 points, while the Kuwait-15 index edged down 0.02%, and the weighted index edged up by 0.04%.
