DFM snaps losses Sunday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reversed the downtrend it had maintained for two successive sessions on Sunday.

The general index rose 0.2% or 7.05 points to reach 3,468.48 points.

The telecom sector levelled up 0.83% as du increased 0.83%.

The real estate sector also grew 0.49% after Union Properties (UP), Arabtec Holding, and Emaar Properties went up 3.08%, 2.04%, and 0.28%, respectively.

The banks sector gained 0.32% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) added 0.72%.

On the flipside, the industrial sector led losers with a 3.23% decline after National Cement Co levelled down 3.23%.

Turnover amounted to AED 214.229 million on Sunday, compared to AED 193.728 million last Thursday. Trading volume reached 160.873 million shares, compared to 152.950 million shares.

Arabtec Holding was the value leader after generating AED 56.3 million from the exchange of 62.64 million shares.
