Muscat - Decypha: Moody’s Investor Service has ranked Oman as Baa1, a sign that the company is stable and a secure investment grounds.

The rating indicated Oman’s high wealth levels and a still comparatively strong government balance sheet, balanced against credit challenges, including its heavy reliance of oil and gas sector, stated Moody’s report.

The country has shown resilience over the past 12 to 18 months. The country however, shows moderate susceptibility to event risk, according to the report, mainly due to the high reliance on oil.

The country’s banking sector on the other hand, shows low risk due to high profitability and solid asset quality.
