Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a steady performance on Monday, with its general index stabilising at 4,465.28 points.

Trading volume reached 139 million shares on Monday, compared to 51.1 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 239.19 million, compared to AED 102.54 million.

Traders have shied away from trading in local stock markets although there is not any negative news, according to Eyad Al Bariqi, trading director of Al Ansari Financial Services.

Investors are likely to refrain from buying stocks till the end of this month, Al Bariqi added.

The banks sector rose 0.36% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) added 1.04% and 0.78% respectively.

On the other hand, the real estate sector fell 0.94% as RAK Properties and Eshraq Properties retreated 9.86% and 5.26% respectively. However, Aldar Properties rose 0.83%.
