EGX30 loses 139 pts at close

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) fell at Monday’s close by 1.06% or 138.6 points to the level of 12,969.64 points.

Likewise, the EGX70, EGX100 and EGX50 indices declined 0.40%, 0.60% and 0.44%, respectively.

The market capitalisation increased EGP 5.1 billion to EGP 651.1 billion.

Trading volume reached 236.4 million shares, turnover amounted to EGP 1.06 billion.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 68.5 million and EGP 39.5 million respectively, while net purchases by foreign investors amounted to EGP 108 million.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt retreated 1.23% to EGP 76.1.

Egyptian Starch & Glucose topped gainers after adding 9.98%, while National Housing for Professional Syndicates was the worst performer after falling 8.94%.
