Cairo – Decypha: The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) will officially start facilitating the process of issuing construction licenses for land plots in order to support buildings growth in new cities, announced the Egyptian Minister of Housing, Mostafa Madbouly.
Future licenses will be issued through consultancy offices, which are certified through the Syndicate of Engineers.
Compliant with Law No.119/2008, the consultancy offices will be authorized to grant licenses as a first phase in 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, Shorouk City, 10th of Ramadan, Badr City and Obour City, where there is a high demand on construction licenses, Madbouly said.
The consultancy offices will have to provide all needed documents and fees for license issuance.
A statement, with all the steps needed for issuing licenses, was distributed to the six city councils, Madbouly said, adding that there will be a continuous monitoring by NUCA.
The NUCA will also publish a periodic report on the application process of each city council.
The Syndicate of Engineers has coordinated with the ministry through sending a list of certified consultancy offices, specialized in construction licenses.
License applicants will be asked for the issuance of a validity proof, documents mentioned in the Construction Law and an executive situation proof, said NUCA’s head of cities’ development directorate Abdel Moteleb Mamdouh.
