Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) said on Monday that the opening of Ras Abu Fontas A3 is delayed to 18 April, according to a company statement.

In late March, most of the expansion project of the A3 desalination plant at the station had been implemented, Qatari minister of energy and industry Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Sada said.

The project’s last phase will be completed in the first quarter of 2017, Al Sada added.

The company achieved profits of QAR 1.542 billion in 2016, compared to QAR 1.501 billion in 2015, showing an increase of 2.7%.
