Mubasher: The UAE stock markets are still controlled by speculators in line with the absence of catalysts in the current time; this impacts the turnover in a negative way like posting the lowest liquidity level in a month, analysts told Mubasher.

The investment portfolios are still cautious when pumping new liquidity, due to the lack of catalysts as well as the anticipation for Arabtec’s business future, which will be determined on Tuesday, capital market analyst Ahmad Ismail said.

The lower liquidity currently seen at the UAE stock markets is impacted by the first quarter’s financial statements, which will direct the investors’ plans, the analyst noted.

Emaar’s proposed dividends may help in regaining the markets’ balance, namely at Dubai Financial Market (DFM), capital market analyst Hamoud Al-Anzi said.
