Tadawul drops below 7,000 pts at Tuesday open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) shed 0.3% or 21.08 points to 6,990.65 points at Tuesday’s open.

By 10:46 am Makkah time, 38.97 million shares were exchanged through 16,330 transactions at a value of SAR 565.43 million.

The energy sector topped the worst performers and decreased 0.7%, followed by the healthcare sector by the same percentage.

The telecom, material, and banks sectors lost 0.6%, 0.3%, and 0.2%, respectively.

The Saudi Investment Bank led the 99 losing stocks and retreated 4.8%, while National Metal Manufacturing and Casting Company (Maadaniyah) topped the 50 gaining shares and increased 4.2%.

Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market inched down 0.06% to stand at 4,889.50 points.

Baazeem Trading led the red zone and fell 1.9%, while Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati for Bookstores was the only gainer and went up 0.3%.
