Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) went up 0.08% or 5.68 points to close at 6,948,06 points on Wednesday.

Traded value decreased to SAR 2.6 billion compared to SAR 3.25 billion on Tuesday, while traded volume fell to 142.6 million shares compared to 194.48 million.

The banks sector added 0.53%, backed by Al Rajhi Bank and the National Commercial Bank (NCB) which rose 0.69% to SAR 64 and 0.63% to SAR 38.20, respectively.

The telecom sector also added 0.25%, supported by Saudi Telecom Co (STC) and Zain KSA which inched up 0.16% to SAR 68.25 and 0.91% to SAR 11.05, respectively.

On the other hand, the material sector went down 0.21% after SABIC lost 0.11% to SAR 98.50.

Halwani Bros led the green zone and hiked 5.55% to SAR 50.75, while Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance topped the worst performers and retreated 5.22% to SAR 23.60.

Alinma Bank was the most active in terms of traded value and volume with 28.8 million shares exchanged at a value of SAR 420 million. The stock shed 0.07% to SAR 14.55.
