Mubasher: The UAE stock markets are expected to continue their sideways-to-bullish performance on Thursday, amid anticipation of more first-quarter financials, an analyst told Mubasher.

Investors are currently focusing on financial announcements for the first quarter of 2017, amid a positive outlook for these results, according to Fady El-Ghattis, CEO of Topsy Turvy Consultations.

The financial results will be one of the main factors that affect the market’s trend in the coming period, the analyst added.

An improvement of results, especially of leading companies, may push the Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index to reach 4,400 points, El-Ghattis noted.

DFM’s rebound is good at the moment, he said, adding that its main index sees resistance at 3,730 points, the analyst added.
