Egypt bourse to move sideways – Analysts

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices are expected to move sideways this week until new catalysts emerge, analysts told Mubasher.

Technical analyst Ayman Fouda expected the benchmark EGX30 index to face short-term resistances at 12,970 and 13,020 points, then 13,129 and 13,240 points, while the support levels are likely to be 12,840, 12,745, and 12,629 points.

The small- and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 is forecast to face resistances at 595 and 601 points, while its supports level are 582 and 577 points, Fouda added.

Meanwhile, market analyst Sameh Ghareeb expected the main gauge to move between a support of 12,737 points and a resistance of 13,400 points during this week’s trading.

The EGX30 index rose on Thursday by 0.08% or 10.55 points to the level of 12,905.85 points.
