Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose 1.2% or 79.85 points to 6,978.85 points at Sunday’s open.

By 10:59 am Makkah time, 65.49 million shares were exchanged through 24,570 transactions at a value of SAR 1.08 billion.

The retailing sector topped the best performers and gained 5.4%, followed by the pharmaceuticals and food retailing sectors by 3.5% and 3.2%, respectively.

The banks, materials, and telecom sectors increased 0.97%, 0.6%, and 0.3%, respectively.

The consumer durables sector went down solely by 0.2%.

Chubb Arabia topped the 144 gaining stocks and surged 9.96%, while Saudi Paper Manufacturing led the 25 losing shares and declined 8.8%.

Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market went up 2.4% to stand at 5,066.26 points.

Baazeem Trading topped the green zone and hiked 7.3%, while Development Works Food led the red zone and dropped 5.3%.
