Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait ended Wednesday 0.15% or 10.5 points higher to reach 6,854.12 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled down 0.08% and 0.41%, respectively.

The technology sector decreased 3.15%, and the banks sector lost 0.32% as Ithmaar Bank’s stock declined 1.8%.

On the other hand, the insurance sector went up 2.18%, and the telecommunications sector grew 0.99% after Mobile Telecommunications Company’s (Zain) stock increased 1.8%.

Kuwait National Cinema’s stock retreated 10.1%, whereas Kuwait Financial Centre’s (Markaz) stock led risers with 11.22%.

Trading volume reached 88.99 million shares on Wednesday, against 95.54 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity tumbled 18.6% to KWD 19.43 million, from KWD 23.87 million.

Zain’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume after 11.22 million shares were exchanged, through 462 transactions, generating KWD 5.61 million.
