Mubasher: The Central Agency for Public Tenders approved awarding three tenders by the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) at a total value of KWD 79.5 million, Alrai newspaper reported.

The agency agreed to award electrical maintenance works in the refinery and the liquid gas production units in Al-Ahmadi Refinery to Fawaz Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Co at KWD 18.9 million.

The agency also agreed to award the control systems maintenance works in Al-Ahmadi Refinery to Finesco International at KWD 21.8 million.

Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding was awarded the mechanical maintenance works and tank maintenance in the Abdullah Port Refinery and local marketing department at KWD 38.7 million.

The KNPC had announced in early August that 86% of the work in the environmental fuel project was accomplished, adding that the electrical grid of the project had been finalised.
