Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait’s budget deficit after deducting future generations reserves reached KWD 33.61 million in the first four months of the fiscal year 2017/2018 from April to July, according to a report by the finance ministry.
The four-month deficit represents 0.4% of the total estimated deficit by the end of the current fiscal year.
Kuwait’s total revenues from April to July reached KWD 4.7 billion, while expenses for governmental agencies stood at KWD 4.3 billion.
Kuwait transferred KWD 469.95 million to the future generations reserve in the four-month period, and around KWD 1.33 billion will also be transferred to this reserve by the end of the FY17/18.
