Mubasher: The surplus in the balance of trade between Kuwait and Japan grew 48.1% year-on-year in July to JPY 31.61 billion ($285.82 million) in favour of Kuwait, versus JPY 25.6 billion ($231.48 million) in June.
Kuwait’s imports from Japan declined 7.3% to JPY 11.14 billion ($100.73 million), while the Gulf country’s exports to Japan rose 28% to JPY 42.75 billion ($386.55 million) in July, data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance showed Thursday.
At the level of the first six months of the year, the surplus in trade balance between Kuwait and Japan surged 99.2% to JPY 267.32 billion.
