Google to launch AI center in China
Mubasher: Google has chosen Beijing as the location for its first artificial intelligence research (AI) center in Asia, CNN Money reported on Wednesday.

This comes despite that the majority of the tech giant services, including its search engine, YouTube, and Gmail, are all being blocked in China.

No so long ago, China announced plans to build a domestic artificial intelligence industry worth nearly $150 billion in the coming years.

Google’s artificial intelligence unit DeepMind teamed up with Chinese authorities to hold a five-day festival in the country earlier this year. The event focused on a human-versus-computer showdown in the ancient game of Go, according to CNN.
