Six sectors push Boursa Kuwait higher at Monday's close
The benchmark price index inched up 0.07% or 4.72 points to 6,625.12 points

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait ended Monday’s trading session in the green, as six sectors grew amid thin trade.

The benchmark price index inched up 0.07%, or 4.72 points, to 6,625.12 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices rose 1.03% and 0.70%, respectively.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity decreased to KWD 14.79 million on Monday from KWD 15.49 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased to 131.13 million shares from 142.96 million.

The financial services sector topped the bourse's gainers with 1.59% as Amwal International Investment surged 16.96%, shrugging off Kuwait Bahrain International Exchange which dropped 36.71%.

Similarly, the banking sector levelled up 0.44% as National Bank of Kuwait increased 2.08%.

Gas and oil sector went up 0.37%, encouraged by Gulf Petroleum Investment and Napesco which increased 2.22% and 1.01%, respectively.  

Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped the market five losers led by Tijara and Real Estate Investment’s 9.09% decline.

Ithmaar Holding, which fell 2%, topped the bourse in terms of trading volume with 11.9 million shares, while National Bank of Kuwait led the market in terms of liquidity with KWD 2.1 million.
