Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's state grain buyer, the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO), has told grains exporters that it will stop purchasing wheat and barley from Canada.
This move came after the diplomatic dispute between the two countries escalates. Canada criticised arresting civil society activists in the kingdom, which deemed it an interference in its local affairs.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) announced stopping flights to Toronto, along with halting its flights to and from the North American nation as of Monday, 13 August.
On a related note, the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) halted the Saudi-Canadian Business Council's activities.
