Mubasher: The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) on Thursday announced that it has increased the deposit interest rate by 0.25% to 2.25%.

The step comes in line with the US Federal Reserve's and other central banks’ decision on Wednesday of raising the key interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 2% to 2.25%.

This is considered the third rate hike during the full-year 2018 to be taken by the Fed.

It is worth noting that the US central bank is expected to see another rate hike in December, three more next year, and one increase in 2020.
