Egypt’s central bank issues treasury bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 70 billion through two issues on Thursday, 1 February 2024.

The first tranche stood at EGP 35 billion and will mature in 182 days on 6 August this year, according to official data.

With the same value, the second offering holds a tenor of 364 days until 4 February 2025.

On 29 January, the CEB issued debt instruments at a total value of EGP 62 billion over three auctions.
