CBE issues T-bills worth EGP 50bn on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 50 billion through auctions on Sunday, 24 March 2024.

The two auctions stood at EGP 25 billion, each, with varied maturity periods, according to official data.

The first tranche holds a tenor of 91 days until 25 June 2024, while the second offering will mature in 273 days on 24 December.

On 21 March, the CBE auctioned T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 60 billion through two equal tranches.
