Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed negative performance on Wednesday, with the EGX30 benchmark index declining by 2.87% to 28,224.37 points.

Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 2.71% to close at 6,516.15 points.

The EGX100 EWI also plummeted by 2.93% to 9,260.84 points.

The stock market’s turnover amounted to EGP 3.01 billion through the exchange of 679.11 million shares.

Meanwhile, the market cap value amounted to EGP 1.95 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were the net sellers with EGP 277.52 million and EGP 96,390 in a respective order.

Meanwhile, the foreign traders were the net buyers with EGP 277.61 million.
