Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the green territory on Monday after the EGX30 main index grew by 1.25% to close at 28,503.75 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.88% to stand at 6,541.52 points.

On the other hand, the EGX100 EWI increased by 1.10% to end at 9,311.42 points.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 2.31 billion after 624.63 million shares were traded, while the market cap value reached EGP 1.92 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were the net buyers with EGP 102.72 million. The Arab and foreign investors were the net sellers with EGP 38.14 million and EGP 64.58 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, the EGX will halt business during the Eid El-Fitr holiday from 9 to 14 April 2024 and will resume trading work on Monday, 15 April.
