Riyadh – Mubasher: ROSHN Group, the real estate development arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with US-based technology giant Cisco for use of Internet-of-Things (IoT) in building sustainable and smart buildings.

Under the MoU, Cisco will deploy its technologies to empower ROSHN’s upcoming Innovation Hub, according to a press release.

Jayesh Maganlal, Group Chief Information and Digital Officer at ROSHN Group, said: “Technology underpins everything we do at ROSHN, and this agreement with Cisco will help us leverage exciting concepts such as IoT for new innovations in areas such as energy efficiency and smart building management.”

Salman Faqeeh, Managing Director at Cisco Saudi Arabia, commented: “Our collaboration with ROSHN underscores Cisco's dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices for smart and connected communities in the kingdom.”

Earlier in April, ROSHN Group sealed an agreement exceeding SAR 215 million with partner developer Dar Al Arkan.
