Riyadh – Mubasher: flynas welcomed 3.70 million passengers on board its flights during the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, marking an annual leap of 51%, according to a press lease.

The overall seat capacity jumped by 43% in the first three months (3M) of 2024, driven by domestic and international routes which were up 45% and 40%, respectively.

Bander Almohanna, Managing Director and CEO of flynas, said: “By tapping into the Kingdom’s economic growth and responding to increased passenger demand, we have successfully expanded our customer base.”

“Looking ahead, we will continue building on our growth plans, through which we aim to connect the world with the Kingdom and support the development of the tourism and aviation sectors,” Almohanna noted.

The CEO added: “We plan to capitalise on their growth potential by aligning with the National Civil Aviation Strategy and the Pilgrims Experience Programme.”

During the January-December 2023 period, the Saudi-based low-cost carrier witnessed a 28% YoY growth in the number of passengers to more than 11.10 million passengers.
