Cairo-Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed in the red on Sunday for the third successive session, weighed by the industrial and service indices. 

Moreover, the benchmark index fell slightly by 0.04% or 0.88 points to end today’s session at 2193.32 points.

 Trading volume reached 6.65 million shares, at a turnover of JOD 8.5 million.

The industrial index fell 0.32%, pressured by Al Eqbal Investment Co, Arab Potash Co and Jordan Phosphate Mines Co that declined by 1.90%, 0.16% and 0.30% respectively.

Furthermore, the service sector lost 0.26% as Salam International Transport and Trading, and the Arab International for Education and Investment retreated by 3.77% and 1.74% respectively.

The financial index also inched down 0.02%, affected by Bank of Jordan, Cairo Amman Bank and Jordan Islamic Bank that registered a decrease by 0.35%, 0.30% and 0.28% respectively.
