Mubasher: The listing of Royal Airlines’ rights shares has been approved by Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) on Sunday, according to the regulator.

JSC said in a statement that the 100 million shares issue is made up of 89.88 million shares for the Jordanian government, 9.97 million shares for the Social Security Corporation (SSC) and 153,450 shares for Thamer Khalil Nimr Darweesh.

Royal Jordanian Airlines earlier increased its capital by 100% through a rights issue.

Before the recent issuance of rights shares, the airline’s capital stood at JOD 84.37 million, distributed across 84.37 million shares, with a nominal value of JOD 1 per share.
