Morocco, Germany sign EUR 445.6m contracts
Morocco and Germany have recently signed three inter-governmental agreements on the field of energy, the National Portal of Morocco reported, according to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).

The agreements, which are worth EUR 445.6 million, focus on the mutual financial cooperation to fund renewable energy and drinking water projects.

Moreover, the Moroccan Minister of Economy Mohammed Boussaid and the German Ambassador to Morocco Volkmar Wenzel have signed the agreements, which mainly serve projects of solar and wind energy, integrated management of water resources, and sea water desalination.

Noteworthy, solar plants will be built in Ouarzazate, namely Noor II.

Meanwhile, Germany is Morocco's eighth trade partner, with direct investments that had reached EUR 118 million in 2013.
