Morocco to start multi-billion-dollar project on natural gas
The Moroccan Minister of Energy Abdelkader Amara has announced that the country will establish a multi-billion-dollar project to improve its search for natural gas.

The Minister has declared that $4.6 billion would be spent on the project which is set to be completed by 2021, reported Middle East Online.

The President of the Moroccan National Office of Electricity and Water Ali Fassi Fihri noted that such process is a "race against time" to meet the country’s electricity needs.

Noteworthy, Morocco aims to produce 2,700 megawatts of electricity from liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Moreover, the country has launched a vast project for renewable energy through which it aims to generate 42% of its needs by 2020.
