Ireland’s Circle Oil company has achieved a significant gas discovery in Morocco, reported World Oil.
Such discovery came following to the preliminary results of the well KSR-12 drilling in the Sebou Permit, onshore Morocco.
The well, which is located 1.2 km to the south-west of the KSR gas gathering station, was drilled to a total depth of 1,980 meters measured depth.
Moreover, the net gas pay encountered in the well from wireline log analysis is 19.5 meters in the main target Intra Hoot sands, and 1 m in the Upper Hoot, registering better results than pre-drill sand thickness expectation.
Noteworthy, the well is set to be completed for future production in the Main Hoot sands, while the Upper Hoot is planned to be completed for production once the Main Hoot gas sands are depleted.
