Cairo-Mubasher:
Morocco’s inflation rate accelerated to 0.5% year-over-year in January, from 0.4% in December, due to the rise in non-food prices, according to data issued by Bank Al-Maghrib.
Non-food prices rose 1.1% compared to the same period a year earlier, telecommunication prices fell 9.2%, while education costs rose 3.5%.
On a month-on-month basis, inflation rate accelerated 0.3% from 0.1%, as food prices rose 0.5% and non-food prices increased 0.1%.
