The board of Arab Moltaqa Investments Co. (AMIC) has approved selling owned stake in Sixth of October Hospital for Cardiology (Dar Al Fouad), which amounts to 2.7 million shares, or 5.5% of capital, at a total value of EGP 40.2 million.
The company said, in a statement posted on the stock market website that the stake was sold to a shareholder in the hospital.
The divestiture is part of the company’s strategy of restructuring its investments.
AMIC said earlier that it was considering several investment opportunities in the healthcare sector while targeting medium-cap companies that are capitalized at EGP 250 million maximum.
