Alexandria Containers & Cargo Handling posted on Sunday its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2014/2015, showing that net profit rose by 60%.

The company added, in a bourse statement, that revenues jumped by 42% from EGP 386.4 million to EGP 548.6 million.

The profit rise was triggered by the successful marketing policy, the company said, adding that such figures topped target results in the budget estimate for the fiscal year 2014/2015.

The cargo handling company had posted EGP 312.6 million net profit for the first five months of the current fiscal year, compared with EGP 202.9 million in the same period a year earlier.
