Cairo-Mubasher: Alexandria Portland Cement Co. posted a 83.1% fall in 2014 consolidated profits to EGP 40.6 million ($5.3 million), compared with EGP 239.8 million ($31.5 million) a year earlier, a company statement showed Sunday.

Meanwhile, revenues declined by 16% to EGP 1.9 billion from EGP 2.3 billion in 2013.

FY14 standalone financial results showed EGP 244.1 million profits, compared with EGP 244.3 million.

The cement producer posted EGP 71.5 million profits for the first nine months of FY14, compared with EGP 237.3 million in the same period a year earlier.
