Egypt's Amer group started works at the first phase of , its latest and biggest projects in the region "Porto Dead Sea" in Jordan , where total costs estimated at nearly JOD 150 million ($211 million) .

The company said , in a bourse statement , it has sealed an agreement with Habash Deir Contracting Co. to carry out the works related to Porto Dead Sea' hotels.

The project’s first phase is expected to be finished through six months, noted the company.

Porto Dead Sea is located on a land area of 800,000 m2 meters on the coast of the Dead Sea & it is the first city on the dead-sea Mountains.it consists of 4 5-stars hotels, International Health & Spa Center, 3 Malls, Medical, and 11 thousand served apartments.

The project will participate greatly in developing the dead-sea area in Jordan and in increasing the hotel capacity in Jordan by 25%.
