In a statement issued by Iraq’s Ministry of Construction and Housing, the Ministry announced the implementation of 70 projects worth IQD 166 billion for the maintenance of roads and bridges in various Iraqi cities.

The Ministry oversees a number of road maintenance projects nationwide including maintenance of 19km of Musayyib-Essaouira road and many others through its directorates, the statement highlighted.

Furthermore, the Ministry also supervises the implementation of bridge maintenance projects including the maintenance of Al Hassanain Bridge.

Many of the ongoing projects are scheduled to be completed within the coming two months, the statement, adding that such projects are carried out according to technical and engineering specifications for roads and bridges.
