Region to see new Kurdistan oil company
The Kurdish government unveiled its plan to set up a new extracting and producing oil company in the region, reported Iraq TradeLink News Agency.

The company will be in charge of signing contracts to boost oil production in the region, as well as exports and marketing inside Iraq and abroad.

Worth noting, the Kurdish cabinet approved the establishment of the oil company and referred it to the parliament for endorsement.

Concerning the oil relations with Baghdad, Kurdish Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said that the government refused the monopoly of Iraq's national State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) on the Kurdish oil; however, it will cooperate and coordinate with it.
