Kuwait's KPC controls assets, investments worth $57bln
State -run Kuwait petroleum corporation -KOC controls assets and investments hit an amount of KWD16.3 billion ($57 billion) by the end of July 2014, said Arabic daily AL Qabas.

The investments are allocated at diversified investment schemes namely; financial portfolios of KWD7.7bln, affiliates of KWD6.6bln, deposits and current accounts of KWD2.3bln and KWD300 million at sister companies and funds.

KOC investments are 55% dominated by foreign currencies, while the rest 45% are available at local currency -Kuwaiti Dinar.

The news report noted that KOC total revenues, realized and unrealized profits recorded around KWD1.66 billion for the first half of 2014.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation is Kuwait's national oil company, headquartered in Kuwait City.

KOC was founded on 27 January 1980 as an umbrella company, integrating KOC, KNPC, KOTC and PIC and effectively placing them under government control.
