Kuwait National Petroleum Co. (KNPC) will launch the construction works of the fifth gas pipeline project in May after finalizing the project awarding and signing the contracts with the winning company, according to Al-Seyassah newspaper.

The total cost of this project exceeds KWD 300 million.
First-hand sources said KNPC approved extending the tender period six weeks until mid-January 2015.
