Kuveyt Turk , Kuwait Finance House - KFH investment arm in Turkey , announced that it won GFC – Global Financial Conferences’ Bonds & Loans Award for Islamic Capital Markets Deal of the Year at Esma Sultan Palace last night.

Mustafa Begün, Mustafa Aramaz and Ruşen Ahmet Albayrak from Kuveyt Turk collected the Award. In their acceptance speech, they spoke of their “great pride winning the Award” and thanked all their partners and advisors for the success of their transaction.

Other winners on the night included, STAR Refinery who won the Award for Best Project Finance Deal, Syndicated Loan and Best Trade & Export Finance Deal; Karsan won Best Local Bond Deal, Mersin International Port won the Award for International Bond Deal of the Year, and Turkish Airlines walked away with Best Structured Finance Deal.

H.E. Ali Babacan, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, opened the event, attended the most senior business figures in Turkey, by video broadcast. Mr Babacan highlighted the impressive growth of the Turkey markets since 2008, and also about the government initiatives being put into place to further support the market.
