Zain announced that Iraq’s Court of Appeal issued its verdict on January 22, 2015 in favor of Atheer Telecommunications Iraq Limited in the lawsuit filed by one of the companies operating in Iraq. 


Atheer announced in a statement to Kuwait Stock Exchange that Iraq’ Court of Appeal decided to dismiss the appeal due to reasons mentioned in the decision of the Federal Court of Cassation. 


It is worth noting that the Court of Appeal’s decision is subject to appeal before the Federal Court of Cassation.


In mid - December ,  Zain Iraq announced that Iraqi Court of Cassation ruled that the Communications and Media Commission of Iraq (CMC) has no right to claim any compensation from the company and confirmed that Zain has a clear legal position.
