Kuwait's inflation rose 3.04% in 2014

The inflation rate in Kuwait has increased by 3.04% in 2014 compared to 2013, said Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau.


The inflation rate in Kuwait rose by 0.97% in December compared to the figures recorded in November 2014.

 

Inflation Rate in Kuwait averaged 3.06 percent from 1995 until 2014, reaching an all-time high of 11.64 percent in August of 2008 and a record low of -1.15 percent in April of 1998.

 

In Kuwait, the main components of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) are: housing (26.8%), food (18.35), transport and communication (16.1%) and household goods and services (14.7%). The index also includes other goods and services (9.9%), clothing and footwear (8.9%), education and medical care (4.7%) and beverages and tobacco (0.6%).
