The Kuwaiti cabinet accepted the resignation of commerce and industry minister and vice prime minister Abdul-Mohsin Al-Madaj, and replaced him with the finance minister Anas Al-Saleh.
A member of the parliament requested earlier calling in Al-Madaj before the National Assembly to investigate a claim that he is violating the rights of equity small shareholders of local companies.
Al-Madaj is the second minister to resign in March, following the resignation of the electricity and water minister Abdul-Aziz Al-Ibrahim on 16 March.
