Kuwait-Mubasher: Qurain Petrochemical Industries showed a leap of 3060% in its earnings for the third quarter ended 31 December, 2015, as compared to the same quarter of 2014.

The Kuwaiti company recorded profits worth KWD 4.74 million ($15.66 million) in Q3-15, compared to about KWD 150,000 ($496,000) in Q3-14.

Over the nine months, Qurain posted KWD 11.35 million profits as compared to KWD 14.92 million in the nine months of 2014, a decrease of 24%.

The company said that the surge in the third quarter’s earnings mirrored better results by a subsidiary.

Qurain stock ended Thursday’s session at 164 fils after about 125,000 shares were traded with a value of about KWD 20,500.
