Kuwait-Mubasher: Mobile Telecommunications (Zain) achieved KWD 36 million ($118.8 million) profits in the fourth quarter of 2015, compared to KWD 33.3 million ($110 million) in the same quarter of 2014, an increase of 8%.

The company posted KWD 154 million ($513 million) profits during the fiscal year 2015. Earnings per share reached 40 fils.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached KWD 499 million ($1.66 billion) in the fiscal year 2015, compared to KWD 507 million ($1.78 billion) in 2014.

Operating revenues amounted to KWD 1.14 billion ($3.78 billion) in FY15 as compared to KWD 1.21 billion ($4.27 billion) in FY14.

The board has recommended a distribution of 30% cash dividends or 30 fils per share payout.
