Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said held a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, during which they discussed the possible means of facilitating the implementation of bilateral agreements in a number of areas, including security and customs, Times of Oman reported, quoting a senior Iranian official as saying.
Iran and Oman have "exemplary" relations which will be fostered further in the future in all areas, Amir-Abdollahian said, adding that "We agreed that negotiations start for the implementation of the security and customs agreements. We also agreed on the trips of some high-ranking officials of the two countries.”
Amir-Abdollahian noted that he handed over an invitation letter from Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri to Sayyid Fahd for a visit to Iran, according to Times of Oman.
